After our breakfast, we set off to explore Macedonia's unique nature and cultural treasures. Our first stop is Tetova (Kalkandelen), one of Macedonia's dazzling towns. Here, we will visit the Alaca Mosque, one of the most colorful and impressive mosques in the Balkans. Built in the 15th century, this mosque will enchant you with its vibrant colors and intricate decorations on its exterior. As we discover this rare example of Ottoman architecture, we will embark on a journey into the depths of history. After our visit to Tetova, we head towards Ohrid, accompanied by lush mountains and azure lakes. Along the way, the breathtaking landscapes of Macedonia will accompany us. Upon our arrival in Ohrid, we will take a tour introducing the historic city of Ohrid, which was one of the important bases of the Ottomans in the Balkans. Among the places we will see during our tour are the Statue of Saints Cyril and Methodius, 9th-century Byzantine monks believed to have developed the Cyrillic alphabet, and the Church of St. Sophia. We will also have the opportunity to stroll around the heart of the city, the Chinar Square, and explore the Turkish Bazaar from the old Ottoman period. Here, you can visit the Halveti Tekke and feel the cultural texture of the city up close. Then, we will visit the New Bazaar and Ohrid Market, witnessing the daily life of the locals.
