DAY 1 Istanbul - Bari (Matera Tour) We start our tour by meeting at the Turkish Airlines counter in the International Departures terminal of Istanbul Airport. After luggage and ticket procedures, we set off for Bari with Turkish Airlines. Upon arrival in Bari at local time, we begin our city tour with our private vehicle and guide waiting for us. During the tour, we will visit important points such as Basilica Di San Nicola, the port, and Bari Cathedral. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel, check-in, and have free time. For our guests who wish, there is an opportunity to join an optional Matera tour (75€) accompanied by our guide. We are heading to Matera, which holds the title of European Capital of Culture 2019 and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This city, carved into both sides of the valley in the Gravina canyon during prehistoric times, is notable for its historical structures known as “Sassi di Matera.”
