After the lunch break, we start our city tour to explore Lesbos's rich history with our expert guide. In this cultural journey that we will conduct on foot, our first visit points will be the impressive architecture of Agios Therapontas Church, the Metropolitan Church reflecting the island's spiritual atmosphere, and the historical market. Public buildings, mosques, baths, and aesthetic examples of civil architecture from the Ottoman period to the present day will tell us about the island's multicultural structure; with the information from our guide, these structures will turn into vivid stories in your mind. After our city tour, we head to Jumbo, a popular place for shopping enthusiasts, to relax from the day's fatigue. After spending a pleasant time examining the wide range of products here, we visit Lidl market for local products and essentials. After breakfast at our hotel, we set off towards the north of the island. Our first stop is the historic Sarlıca Palas, one of the most impressive structures in the region that has survived from the Ottoman period to the present day. After visiting this architectural masterpiece, we continue to Mandamados Village, known as the center of faith tourism. Here, we visit the Archangel Taxiarchis Monastery, which affects not only the Orthodox world but all visitors with its spiritual atmosphere. During our visit, guests who wish can take a short taste break by trying the famous honey yogurt or traditional bites at the peaceful café in the monastery courtyard. Later in the day, we head towards Molyvos, a true earthly heritage under UNESCO protection. This settlement, which we reach by passing through the village of the famous writer Stratis Mirivilis, invites you into a fairy tale world with its untouched texture. The overhanging houses from the Ottoman period, narrow streets adorned with bougainvilleas, and terrace cafés with magnificent views will leave you with unforgettable memories. After this visual feast, we reach Petra, famous for its church built on a massive rock mass, after a short journey. After this detailed northern tour with our guide, we return to our hotel to rest until dinner time. After having breakfast at our hotel, we set off towards the south of the island and reach Agiasos Mountain Village with the unique view of Gera Bay. In Agiasos, which will greet you with its characteristic architecture and unspoiled village life, we explore the local market famous for handmade wood carving, ceramic arts, and elegant lacework. Among the important points we will see during our visit are the Church of the Virgin Mary, one of the island's spiritual symbols, and the Ethnography Museum, which sheds light on the region's history. After leaving Agiasos, we turn our route to Plomari on the southern coast of the island. During this picturesque journey, accompanied by olive oil factories, historical soap workshops, and structures from the Ottoman period, we have the opportunity to watch the Anatolian lands across the strait. Plomari, one of the most important centers of the island, is also the center of world-famous Uzo production. We visit the Uzo Factory and Museum in the region to closely learn about the production processes of the traditional Greek drink Uzo and experience this culture on-site. After our museum tour, guests who wish can taste at the factory and shop for fresh products unique to this region for their loved ones. In the last part of our tour, we return to Lesbos center by passing through the charming fishing village of Perama. We proceed to the port for our ferry, which will depart at 17:30, complete our customs procedures, and do our last shopping at the Free Shop for a final souvenir. After this journey filled with enjoyable memories, we head back to Izmir. It was a great pleasure for us to explore this unique geography with you.
