Portugal Tour - Discovering Porto and Lisbon

After having breakfast at our hotel, we start our tour in this beautiful city, the capital of Portugal, built on the estuary formed by the Tejo River. After visiting the church section of Jeronimos Monastery, we will stop to take photos at Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries on the banks of the Tejo River. We will take a partial panoramic tour of the Alfama district, the oldest part of the city, which is the least affected area from the 1755 earthquake, named after the Arabic word for bath and can only be explored on foot. On the way back to the hotel, we will take a photo break at the upper part of Eduardo Park, overlooking Marques de Pombal Square at the end of Liberdade Avenue, which is lined with chic boutiques, passing through Praça do Comercio, Baixa district, Rossio, and Restauradores squares. After having breakfast at our hotel, we set off towards Porto. We head to the picturesque town of Sintra, which has a romantic atmosphere. We will visit the National Palace of Vila located in the historical center of this town, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. This palace, which has been expanded with additions over the centuries, presents an interesting mix of Moorish, Gothic, Manueline, and Renaissance styles. After spending free time in souvenir shops selling Portuguese-style Azulejo tiles, we arrive at Cabo de Roca, the westernmost point of Europe. Here, we will have the opportunity to take photos on the cliffs at a height of 140 meters. Then, we continue towards Porto, passing through Cascais, a charming fishing port, and Estoril, the most popular holiday resort of Lisbon. On the way, we will visit Obidos, the city of queens, with its magnificent castle, blue and white houses, and cobbled streets. After our visit to Obidos, we head towards Porto. After our arrival, we transfer to our hotel, overnight stay at our hotel in Porto.

After having breakfast at our hotel, we participate in the Braga Tour, which is free for all our guests. We will visit the 'Bom Jesus Do Monte' church, an important religious site in Braga. This impressive structure, which is climbed by 650 steps, draws attention with its zigzag architecture. Guests who wish can use the funicular. This place, one of the most beautiful examples of granite structures in northern Portugal, is visited by devout people on holy days by climbing on their knees. After Braga, we return to Porto Center to conduct our Porto city tour. After the modern commercial center known as Boavista, our first stop will be Queijo Castle on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. From here, we will progress towards Porto center along the riverbanks, passing through the Foz district, an old fishing village where the Douro River flows into the ocean. Our route will start from Carmo Square, continue through the Historical Bookstore Lello and Clerigos Church, and end at Aliados Square. We complete our tour with the exploration of the Ribeira district, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site along the Douro River.
