At the time to be announced by our agency 1 day in advance, we meet at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport in the morning. We arrive in TRABZON with the flight number XQ9270 of SUNEXPRESS AIRLINES at 05:45. We land at the airport at approximately 07:40 and transfer to the vehicle directed by our guide. We greet the day with a rich breakfast by the calm face of the Black Sea at Sera Lake (extra breakfast), ranging from local cheeses to kuymak. We reach Sarp Border Gate via Hopa, accompanied by the nature of the Black Sea along the Black Sea coast. After completing the necessary crossing procedures, we arrive in Batumi with our guide. As we progress towards the heart of Eastern Georgia, passing through historical routes such as Kobuleti, Kutaisi, and Khasuri, we witness the change of geography and architecture. Our first significant stop on this long yet discovery-filled journey is the birthplace of the leader associated with the name "steel": Gori. Founded by King David, this industrial city is the land where Josep Stalin was born and raised, changing the course of history. Here, we visit the Stalin Museum, which reflects Stalin's life and the vast history of the Soviet Union, witnessing how time has shaped history. Our journey takes us to the ancient capital Mtskheta, one of the most precious treasures on the UNESCO World Heritage List, waiting just 20 minutes from Tbilisi. At that unique point where the Mtkvari and Aragvi Rivers merge, time seems to stand still. While we panoramically observe the Jvari Monastery, which greets the city, we capture immortal memories in this sacred atmosphere that witnessed the birth of Georgian Christianity. At the end of the day, we arrive in Tbilisi, the pearl of the Caucasus, with its dazzling appearance. After settling into our hotel and a short rest, we are enchanted by the famous Jardan Street, where the pulse of the city beats. While enjoying free time on this street, which captivates with its art galleries, chic cafes, and historical texture, we crown our evening with the exquisite flavors of Georgian cuisine. We conclude the night peacefully in this fairytale capital where history and modernity blend. Overnight stay at our hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 2 — Day 2
After having our breakfast at the hotel, we spend a full day in Tbilisi. This ancient capital, which has risen from its ashes countless times, awaits us as one of Asia's most enchanting stops. We start our city tour at Shardeni Street, considered the heart of Tbilisi, where different beliefs and cultures have lived side by side for centuries. As we walk through these streets, where Turkish, Azerbaijani, Armenian, and Georgian influences intertwine, the famous colorful Old Tbilisi Houses rising along the banks of the Kura River greet us as if they have jumped out of a movie frame. After examining the mystical texture of the historic Friday Mosque and the Ottoman Baths known for their healing waters, we head to a dazzling stop: the Sameba Cathedral, the third largest religious structure in the Middle East, crowned with its golden dome. Our tour is elevated with a journey on the Cable Car (extra) rising next to the Metekhi Bridge. Enjoying the view of Tbilisi laid out beneath our feet, we reach Solalaki Hill. Here, we are greeted by the giant Mother Georgia Statue (Kartlis Deda), holding wine for friends in one hand and a sword for enemies in the other, and the centuries-old Narikale Fortress. After our panoramic city tour, we head to Kustba (Turtle) Lake, a cultural treasure hidden in nature. In this area, which is practically an Open-Air Ethnography Museum, we immortalize our memories by breathing in the authentic architecture of Laz and Georgian villages. Later in the day, we pass through Liberty Square and the magnificent Rustavelli Street to feel the pulse of modern Tbilisi. After a delightful exploration at Antique Market, the center of antique dealers and handmade products, we provide free time for you to enjoy the city. The most colorful finale of the day takes place with the famous Georgian Night. Accompanied by the enthusiasm of local music and the mesmerizing rhythm of Caucasian dances, we partake in a feast ranging from khachapuri to khinkali, and from Georgian wines to specially sauced meats. We conclude this unforgettable night by returning to our hotel under the lights of Tbilisi. Overnight stay at our hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 3 — Day 3
After having our breakfast at the hotel, we turn our route towards the shining star of the Black Sea, Batumi. After a long yet enjoyable journey, our first stop is the peaceful Ardagan Lake. We start our panoramic tour by admiring the Palace of Justice, designed in the shape of an inverted milk bottle, representing honesty and purity. We pass through the green heart of the city, May 6 Park, and the cheerful sounds of the Dolphinarium as we head towards Batumi Port. Here, we get off our vehicle and begin a walk where we will touch the spirit of Batumi under the fragrant shade of magnolia trees. While we are enchanted by the giant Ali and Nino Statue, symbolizing the sad story of two lovers who cannot meet, we listen to our guide narrate this touching love story. Nearby, we witness the architectural diversity of Batumi with the Ottoman heritage Lighthouse, the Alphabet Tower symbolizing the uniqueness of Georgian culture, the Ferris Wheel adding movement to the city, and the Chacha Tower sending greetings to Izmir. We stroll along Batumi Boulevard, the liveliest spot in the city, extending to the beach among palm and bamboo trees, where we observe the impressive silhouette of the city and the turbulent Black Sea from Batumi Pier. Our tour continues at Theater Square, the center of art and history. After immortalizing our memories in front of the magnificent Poseidon Statue, we reach Europe Square, the most prestigious spot in the city. Here, you will feel as if time has stopped in front of the giant Medea Statue, holding the golden fleece, and the elegance of the Astronomical Clock, which hides a story in every detail. We crown our walk with the precious structures of the Orthodox world, St. Nicolas Church, and the famous Piazza Square, which will make you feel like you are in an Italian town. The magnificent finale of the day is realized with the ever-enthusiastic Georgian Night. After rewarding ourselves with the Caucasian dances performed with the accompaniment of the tulum and accordion, and local delicacies adorning the tables, we settle into our hotel amidst the sparkling night of Batumi. Overnight stay at our hotel in Batumi.
Day 4 — Day 4
After having breakfast at our hotel, we set off towards the unique nature of the Black Sea, heading to Sarp Border Gate. After completing our border crossing procedures, we enter our country and reach our first stop, Fırtına Stream. We photograph the historic stone bridges that have become symbols of the region, and for those who wish, we experience adrenaline-filled moments by doing Zipline over the river. After the soothing sounds of the river, we head to Ayder Plateau, one of the most popular spots of the Black Sea. We provide free time at the plateau with the magnificent view of Gelin Tülü Waterfall. Then we turn our route to a special workshop for shopping for Rize Fabric; here we listen to the stories of weaving and have the opportunity for local shopping. In the afternoon, we carry out our extra tour to Çayeli-Ağaran Waterfall, one of the hidden beauties of the region. While sipping our teas in front of the magnificent flow of the waterfall, we shake off the fatigue of the day. Towards the evening, we head towards Trabzon, visiting the famous Sürmene Knives shops along the way, and then we enter the city center of Trabzon. During the free time until our flight hour, guests who wish can taste local delicacies for dinner. At the end of a pleasant day, we transfer to Trabzon Airport. We perform our flight to Izmir with the flight number XQ9271 of Sunexpress at 23:10. We arrive at 01:15 local time, concluding another journey filled with memories of Georgia and the Black Sea. We bid farewell, hoping to see you again on another journey. Goodbye.
