We meet at the Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport at the time that our agency will notify one day prior. We complete check-in and baggage procedures for the flight number XQ9158 of SUNEXPRESS AIRLINES at 06:00. We continue our journey lasting approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, landing at SAMSUN ÇARŞAMBA AIRPORT. Following our guide's instructions, we settle into our vehicle and start the day with a pleasant breakfast break. We trace the footprints of history by visiting the Bandırma Ferry, the symbol of liberation where the fire of the national struggle was ignited. After immortalizing this meaningful moment in front of the city's pride, Atatürk Statue (Honor Monument) in Samsun, we turn our route towards Ordu, the homeland of hazelnuts and oxygen. To view the unique coastline of the Black Sea from above, we take the Boztepe Cable Car (extra) to the summit, enjoying the city like a painting. Then we reach Giresun, listen to the story of Topal Osman against the panoramic view of Giresun Castle, and take a shopping break to taste fresh hazelnuts. Climbing towards Kümbet Plateau, known for having the cleanest air in Turkey, via the enchanting Dereli road, we witness the beauty of Mavi Göl, where we will see the purest form of turquoise, and photograph the rushing waters of Kuzalan Waterfall. At the end of the day, we settle into our peaceful stop above the clouds, Timira Mountain Houses, welcoming a night in the heart of nature. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel in the plateau.
Day 2 — Day 2
After enjoying a peaceful breakfast at our hotel in the plateau, we bid farewell to the misty and fairytale-like views of Giresun and head towards the heart of the Black Sea via Tirebolu and Vakfıkebir. Upon reaching Altındere National Park, the world-famous Sumela Monastery, rising among the greenery brought to life by Coşandere, greets us in all its glory. Following this mystical visit with our guide, we are enchanted by the elegant architecture of the historical Atatürk Mansion, located in the Soğuksu district of Trabzon, where our founder penned his will. During our panoramic city tour, we greet Trabzon Castle, Zağnos Valley, and the historic Kaleiçi neighborhood, then turn our route towards the craft center, Sürmene. We listen to the century-old story of the famous Sürmene knives and, after witnessing the journey of tea from leaf to package at a tea factory, we sip our freshly brewed teas. After seeing Kazaziye, where silver transforms into art, and completing our shopping with the craftsmanship of woven bracelets, we reach Uzungöl Plateau, a natural wonder surrounded by pine forests at an altitude of 1090 meters. After exploring the history and culture of Uzungöl at the Dursun Ali İnan Museum, we set off for the Extra Tour: Uzungöl Upper Plateau Lustra & Karaster Plateaus with our guests who wish to join. In this special journey where we are neighbors with the sky, we climb over steep slopes with our special off-road vehicles, ascending above the clouds. After breathing the fresh plateau air and capturing unique photos at the first stop, Lustra Plateau at 1900 meters, we reach Karaster Plateau at 2300 meters, one of the highest points in the region. While watching the Uzungöl view, which stretches out like a miniature model beneath our feet, we are once again captivated by the enchanting silence created by the sea of fog and the steep mountains.
Day 3 — Day 3
After breakfast at our plateau facility, we turn our route towards Çayeli, which has inspired many songs. During our visit to (Extra Tour: Çayeli-Ağaran Waterfall Tour), we witness the mesmerizing view of the pure white waters cascading from the sky and capture this unique nature in our memories. Then, we get to know the region's centuries-old tradition, Rize Fabric, by stepping up to the weaving looms; we listen to the story of this special fabric and use our free time for shopping. Continuing our journey, we open the doors to the ancient Colchis region, known in mythology as "the land set aside by God", stretching from Fırtına to Mount Kaf. We proceed through the breathtaking views of the famous Fırtına Valley, which is nourished by the Palovit, Elevit, and Tunca rivers, reaching the beloved Ayder Plateau, the apple of the Black Sea's eye. Nestled at the foot of the Kaçkar Mountains, we experience the privilege of accommodation among the ever-green fir trees and the colorful beech forests. After photographing the symbol of Ayder, Gelin Tülü Waterfall, we enjoy the plateau. During dinner, we experience a true Black Sea feast with the sound of the tulum and the energy of the horon dance, ending the night in this fairytale atmosphere. Day 4 — Day 4
After breakfast at our plateau facility, we set off towards Çamlıhemşin, the home of the clouds. We board our waiting minibuses and enter the valley as if through a secret passage, starting our Extra Tour: Ayder Upper Plateau Adventure – (Zilkale & Palovit Waterfall & Villages). At our first stop in Konaklar Neighborhood, we photograph the magnificent "Stone Mansions" that bear witness to the region's history, then visit Şenyuva village, where the warm atmosphere of the series "Sevdaluk" is felt. We witness the enthusiastic sound of Fırtına at the historic Çinçiva Bridge and continue our exploration of paradise on earth by greeting the majestic Zil Castle, perched like an eagle on steep cliffs. Then, we refresh our spirits with the roaring waters of Palovit, the highest-flowing waterfall in the region. After observing the traditional shelters and blackthorn trees lined along the valley, we take a delicious lunch break by the Fırtına River. After lunch, adventure-loving guests can experience Rafting in the cool waters of the river or enjoy thrilling moments with the Zipline. After fun moments, we enter Artvin via Pazar and Ardeşen, boarding our minibuses in Arhavi to head towards Extra Tour: Arhavi - Double Bridges & Mençuna Waterfall Tour. After immortalizing the architectural marvel of Double Bridges and Kamilet Valley, we embark on a walk along the winding paths through tea gardens, feeling the true nature of the Black Sea deep within us. At the end of the road, like a reward, we sip our tea accompanied by the soothing sound of Mençuna Waterfall. If we haven't been lazy to grab our swimsuits, we don't forget to swim in its icy waters. In the day's finale, we turn our route beyond the border, to Georgia. After reaching Sarp Border Gate via Hopa and Kemalpaşa, we complete our crossing procedures and step into the sparkling world of Batumi. We crown our evening with a (extra) Local Georgian Night, blending the vibrant dances and unique flavors of Caucasian culture, and then settle into our hotel for accommodation. Overnight at our hotel in Georgia-Batumi.
Day 5 — Day 5
After having breakfast at our hotel, we start the day in Batumi, the shining star of the Adjara Region, and set out to explore the modern and mystical face of the Black Sea. At our first stop, we greet the St. Andrew Statue and waterfall, believed to bring luck to couples getting married, as we reach Gonio beaches. After a panoramic view of the magnificent Gonio Castle, which carries traces of the Roman era, we cross the Çoruh River, born from our lands, and arrive at Ardagani Lake, where water dances with light. We pass the Justice Palace, symbolizing honesty, shaped like an inverted milk bottle, 6 Mayıs Park, and the Dolphinarium, reaching Batumi Port shaded by magnolia trees. Here, we get off our vehicle and embark on a romantic journey in front of the towering symbol of a sorrowful love, Ali and Nino Statue, guided by our tour guide. After photographing the Ottoman heritage of the Lighthouse, the symbol of freedom Alphabet Tower, the giant Ferris wheel, and the Chacha Tower carrying the breezes of Izmir, we join the rhythm of the city on Batumi Boulevard, adorned with bamboos and sculptures. We watch the coastal silhouette from Batumi Pier; exploring the iconic structures of the city like the Poseidon Statue, Medea Statue, and the mesmerizing Astronomical Clock, we conclude our walk at the Italian architect-designed Piazza Square. After bidding farewell to the sparkle of Batumi, we cross the border and reach the peaceful route of Şavşat in Artvin via Hopa and Borçka. Here, we embark on the adventure of the Extra Tour: Arvin-Şavşat Karagöl Tour, which deserves the title of "Slow City" (Cittaslow), as we traverse the roads resembling a green tunnel that captivates us. We are enchanted by the still waters of Karagöl, which reflect its surroundings. After peaceful walks by the lake and a delightful rest break, we depart from this hidden paradise of the Black Sea to have dinner and settle into our hotel in Şavşat. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Şavşat.
Day 6 — Day 6
After enjoying a delightful breakfast at our plateau hotel, we turn our route towards Erzurum, known as the land of the Dadaş and considered the roof of our country. At our first stop, we are greeted by the Tortum Waterfall, one of the largest waterfalls in the world, where we can feel the power of nature deep within us. After photographing this visual feast, which cascades from 48 meters after overcoming a massive landslide at Tortum Lake, we sip our morning coffees in the coolness of the waterfall. Next, we reach the Erzurum Congress Building, where the foundations of our Republic were laid; we witness the city’s rich history with Yakutiye Medrese, Turkish Islamic Works and Ethnography Museum. After seeing the Lalapaşa Mosque, designed by Mimar Sinan and bearing traces of the era of Suleiman the Magnificent, we take a pleasant break for souvenirs at Rüstempaşa Caravanserai, where Erzurum's famous oltu stone is transformed into art. Continuing the day, we visit the elegantly designed Ulu Mosque, captivating with its swallow-tailed dome, and admire the majestic Double Minaret Medrese, which has become a symbol of Erzurum and is the subject of the legend of the master and apprentice. After including the historical Three Tombs in this visual feast, we relieve the day’s fatigue with a dinner break featuring the famous Cağ Kebab (extra), which is synonymous with Erzurum. We then transfer to the airport. We fly to IZMIR with flight number XQ9295 of SUNEXPRESS AIRLINES at 22:20. We conclude another journey filled with memories and bid farewell. Goodbye…
