We meet at the International Terminal of Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport as previously informed by Gezi Tutkunları. After completing our check-in and baggage procedures, we take our direct flight to Baku, flight number PC1790, departing at 23:15. After arriving at 03:05 local time the next day, we proceed to our transfer vehicle. After checking into the hotel, we have the opportunity to rest.
Day 2 — Day 2
After breakfast at our hotel, we begin exploring Baku, the meeting point of East and West, located in the heart of the Caucasus. Our first stop is Highland Park, one of the highest points in the city overlooking the Caspian Sea. Here, we visit the Baku Turkish Martyrs' Memorial, built in memory of the 1132 Turkish soldiers who lost their lives for Azerbaijan's independence in 1918, and offer our prayers. Depending on the weather, we may use the historic Baku Funicular while ascending or descending Highland Park. (Funicular fee is extra)
Day 3 — Day 3
After breakfast at our hotel, we head towards the Absheron Peninsula to uncover ancient secrets beneath the surface. Our first stop is Ateshgah, one of the three major Zoroastrian temples in the world, meaning 'Fire Temple'. For centuries, this sacred site has been a place of worship for Indian traders and dervishes, where we will listen to the impressive story of the central altar that has not extinguished for centuries. After witnessing how faith and fire have come together throughout history, we turn our route towards the natural wonder of Yanardag.
Day 4 — Day 4
After breakfast at our hotel, we briefly say goodbye to the modern face of Baku. Our destination is Gobustan National Park, a silent witness of human history and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon reaching this ancient area located 65 km outside the city, we will embark on a time travel among over 6000 petroglyphs and ancient cave writings dating back to the Bronze Age. After turning the dusty pages of history, we head towards the Mud Volcanoes area, where you will feel as if you are on another planet in a setting that hosts half of the world's mud volcanoes.
Day 5 — Day 5
Upon our arrival at the airport, we first complete our baggage and check-in procedures. We return to Izmir with flight number PC1791 of Pegasus Airlines, departing at 04:05. After arriving at 06:10 local time, we conclude this tour filled with memories of the Caspian. We bid farewell with hopes to meet again on the next trip.
