Gaziantep Departure Kosovo Grand Balkan Tour: 7 Nights with Ajet

Day 1: Gaziantep - Çukurova – Skopje

We meet at 15:00 at Uğur Mumcu Park on Gazi Muhtar Paşa Boulevard in Gaziantep and head to Çukurova Airport with our private vehicle. After arriving at the airport, we complete our ticket, luggage, and boarding procedures. We fly directly from Çukurova to Skopje at 22:10 with Ajet Airlines flight VF5509. After a pleasant journey of approximately two hours, we arrive at Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, at 23:30. Upon arrival, we are transferred to our hotel. We spend the night at our hotel.

Day 2: Skopje - Pristina - Prizren - Skopje

After starting the day with breakfast, we head to Pristina, the capital of Kosovo. Upon reaching Pristina, we take a panoramic tour to explore the modern and historical aspects of the city. During this tour, we will visit significant structures from the Ottoman period, including the Fatih Sultan Mehmed Mosque and the 18th-century Yaşar Paşa Mosque. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to visit the Tomb of Sultan Murad I, who lost his life in the 1389 Battle of Kosovo, commemorating this historical event. After the Pristina tour, we will get to know Kosovo's cultural richness more closely.

Day 3: Skopje – Matka Canyon - Tetova (Kalkandelen) - Bitola - Resne – Ohrid

After our breakfast, we head towards Matka Canyon, located among the green mountains. Are you ready to explore Matka Canyon, which is surrounded by the impressive forests and vast areas of Vodno Mountain? This natural beauty, covering approximately 5,000 hectares, will take you to mystical monasteries from the Middle Ages and serene lake views. You can observe the endemic plant and animal species of the region while hiking through the rugged terrain. After the Matka Canyon tour, we meet Tetova (Kalkandelen), one of the most beautiful towns in Macedonia. Here, we will visit one of the most impressive mosques in the Balkans.

Day 5: Shkodra – Sv. Stefan – Budva – Kotor – Medugorje

After our breakfast, we embark on an unforgettable journey towards the magnificent beaches of Montenegro. First, we stop at Sv. Stefan, famous for its historical and natural beauties. From the top, we have a great opportunity to photograph the stunning view of this island. Then, we arrive at Budva, one of the most popular holiday resorts in the Balkans. During our city tour in Budva, we will explore this city, known for its magnificent beaches and vibrant nightlife. Our next stop is Kotor, famous for its fjords! We will walk through this enchanting medieval town and discover its historical texture.

Day 6: Medugorje – Počitelj – Blagaj – Mostar – Sarajevo

After our breakfast, we head towards Sarajevo. First, we visit Počitelj, known for its preserved historical texture and referred to as the Turkish Village. Here, we will see artifacts from the Ottoman period dating back to the 16th century. After the tour, we move to Blagaj, established at the source of the Buna River, which is the strongest water source in Europe. After a short free time in this magnificent natural scenery, we head towards Mostar. In Mostar, we will visit the Mostar Bridge, built by Architect Hayreddin in 1557. This bridge, a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture, was destroyed during the war in 1992; however, it was rebuilt in 2004 with the contributions of the Republic of Turkey.

Day 7: Sarajevo – Srebrenica - Belgrade

After our breakfast, we leave our hotel and head towards Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. On our route, we first stop at Srebrenica. During this visit, we will see the traces of one of the largest massacres that occurred during the Bosnian War. Here, we will have the opportunity to commemorate this tragic event by visiting the mass graves where thousands of Bosniaks were killed. After the visit, we proceed to Belgrade. Historically one of the important cultural and strategic centers of the Balkans, Belgrade today draws attention with its vibrancy and historical texture. In this fascinating city, we will see traces of both Ottoman and European cultures.

Day 8: Belgrade - Skopje – Çukurova - Gaziantep

After our breakfast, we head towards Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Upon arrival, we start our city tour. Skopje is one of the important cultural centers of the Balkans with its Ottoman heritage and modern structures. We begin our tour with the historical sites in Skopje, the birthplace of the famous Turkish poet Yahya Kemal Beyatlı. Our first stop is the Mustafa Pasha Mosque, one of the largest and most magnificent mosques in the city, built in 1492. Then we visit the Murat Pasha Mosque, constructed in the 15th century, which is particularly notable for its decorations and architecture from the Ottoman period. During our tour, we will also see Kapan Han and Sulu Han, located in the heart of Skopje. We will have a pleasant day in this city filled with Ottoman period structures.
